Card Reading as a Journey.

Two years ago I started reading Tarot cards. I could barely remember what the symbols on each card meant, but was astonished at how accurate the advice and meanings of the cards were. There is so much myth and mystique surrounding the Tarot in popular culture, that when I first approached the cards it felt like I was engaging in a bit of a taboo art. Whether it's viewed on television, in film or, read in a book, Tarot cards and Tarot card readers are always presented as somewhat shady. The readers are odd characters with raccoon eyeliner, scarves in their hair, and giant hoop earrings. I have the earrings, I wear them when I go out for drinks. ;) After my initial experiences with Tarot, I started using other divinatory cards and oracles. In a relatively short period of time I amassed a respectable card collection for a newbie. Every time I perform a reading there is more that I learn about myself spiritually and psychologically, and there are meanings that present themselves in the cards and during readings that have proved helpful to me and to my clients. While Tarot and Oracle cards seem like such mystical divination systems, they are also tools for meditation, and they give guidance for all of us fools on our journeys. 'The Fool' in tarot is a person on their path; they begin as a naive youth, and move on through life, gaining insight and experience, until they reach the pinnacle of their experiences... 'The Fool' card is dear to me because few things are lovelier than embracing your life's path, and having faith in it. It is my hope and intention to be a help to other people on their journey through this life, and that is why I will be offering my services as a professional Oracle, Angel, and Tarot card reader in the near future. Wishing you all well on your journeys... Stay tuned for more posts and card of the day readings...
